Masks can be purchased directly for $10 (cash only) from Paint Shop (corner of Dalmahoy and Bailey Streets Bairnsdale).
Anyone who endured the effects of smoke from last summer’s bushfires in East Gippsland understands how far pollutants travel and how debilitating poor air quality is. Likewise the Dust and Airborne Contamination from the proposed mine pose a constant and major threat that will extend for many kilometres past the mine site and that will impact badly on human and animal health, vegetation, stock and domestic water, as well as dryland farming and the Lindenow Valley horticultural industry.
MFG Maskmakers have been busy making masks to help raise money for expert advice to support the community’s response to the EES – in particular studies relating to Dust and Airborne Contamination. We have a fantastic range of sizes and styles of mask that are selling for $10 each.
MFG also has Faceshields ($30) for those who can’t wear masks and Earsavers for use with ’round the ear’ masks ($10) available for sale at the Paint Shop (not online).
