IAN CAMPBELL

IAN’S PRESENTATION LAYS THE GROUNDWORK FOR A POSSIBLE LEGAL CASE IN THE YEARS TO COME IF THE MINE IS APPROVED.

Ian worked for Regional Development Victoria as a Rural Community
Development Officer. He understands the impacts of proposals on local communities and economies and damage to the environment. He cautions about the reputational damage and embarrassment that arises when governments don’t listen to good advice. Ian is now retired but says “I believe I have a duty to the government and to the people of this region to warn of the inevitable impacts to the economy, the environment and the communities of East Gippsland“.
